borrowing liberally from adven68s stellar work of the jack in the box here is Carrot Top my daughters favorite comedian!
box is covered in MMF since she doesnt like fondant (but I wouldnt recommend since it isnt stiff enough to hold to a vertical side) with fondant accents. lid is foamcore covered in MMF Carrot Top os GP, hand painted. there is a crank on the side which is GP and wire.

I had extra fondant left over from making the three bird cake so I decided to work on a practice medallion. I am only disappointed in the butterfly because I don't think it is loose enough. I think I was a bit too controlling for that. Otherwise, it was a nice practice session.

This is a cake I did on the fly for my niece. Many thanks to Claylady and Tat, whose snails, ladybugs, and flowers served as a guide. This was my first time making those types of insects and I was very happy with the way they turned out, so was my three year old niece! The insects and flowers are done with Wilton Fondant. The cake is covered in MMF, which I painted with green food coloring.

This is a cake I did for my step-mom's 50th bday. I originally wanted to do white pumpkins, but ran out of time and decided to do this. The leaves and ribbon roses are fondant/gumpaste and I hand painted all the leaves. This is also my first time doing scroll work and making ribbon roses. I used the "S" presser from Wilton and then added to that for the scrolls. Cake is a 6' and ad 10'. bottom is chocolate, chocolate and top is all vanilla! She loved it!

This is a yummy french vanilla cake with satin ice fondant. Hand painted to look like his biggest bass he caught. This cake was done by both me and my husband...he is an artist so I guess this is what you get when you combine an artist with a cake decorator! We make a great team!

These are the cookies on top of the cake. Had originally done several more with dragonflies and caterpillars, but ended up being too much on the cake.

This cake was my first attempt at painting on a cake. It wasn't easy, but I think it came out well. I used vodka and gels to paint with. I also used fondant on the board and inset a coloured pattern on it before painting.

I was inspired by a cake of Duffs. This cake was for a cub scout banquet, the theme was chinese new year. I loved making this cake, it was so much fun. My work isn't anywhere near as clean as Duff's but I am very happy with it! It is done in all fondant. The pagoda was hand painted along with the entire base cake. Thanks for looking!

Oooo... I loved doing this cake. 3-tier. Sizes 8-6-4. The bottom and top tiers were covered in Satin Ice fondant. I then hand painted the roses on them. I left the middle tier just buttercream so the Bride-to-be could decide if she wanted fondant or not for the wedding cake. The cake inside was white and red velvet torted with raspberry filling. Thanks for looking!

Okay, so my son loves asking everyone what color his tongue is whenever he eats candy.... so I decided to let him have some fun with all of our guests asking what color everyone's tongues were. I hand painted the whole cake and outlined with buttercream. We'll see tonight how he likes it.... I'm sure I will regret doing it, but oh well.
