Just did this today. The simple 3 tier cake was surrounded by fresh wheatgrass on the display table. Reminded me of Easter a bit! I wish I had put the cake on a higher stand though, as the bottom tier was nearly swallowed up by the long grass!

This is a graduation cake for a coworker who just completed a year course in massage.
Thought I'd go with something other the usual graduation cap.

Grass tip used for the rough, tinted piping gel for the water, and crushed nilla wafers over tan icing for the sand traps. Cake size was 1/2 sheet (12x18).

This is a butter cake filled with raspberry flavor buttercream. Bottom tier is a 14"x4" petal shape, 2nd tier 10"x3" round and the 3rd tier is 6"x4" square. All covered in fondant, flowers and buttons are gum paste, swirls and grass are royal icing. The clothesline cross bars are lollipop sticks and the clothes are 3-D stickers. The top tier is quilted for extra whimsy. This was for my best girlfriend to welcome her little baby Carter to the world

My best friend decided that she just HAD to have a waterfall with REAL WATER on her cake. I said no at first of course, but after a professional cake decorator told me it was impossible I was committed to do it! lol. The cake was passion fruit/guava/papaya with pineapple filling and coconut BC, hence the tropical decorations.

Birthday cake made for a little girl named Summer. Buttercream sky. Fondant grass, sun face, flowers, snail and lady bugs. Royal icing sun rays and butterflies, with gel piped over. (butterfly wings have gel icing "windows") In retrospect, I should have had the sun tilted so you didn't have to look straight down the cake to see the face. But my favourite cake so far!

A lady requested a sheet cake for her sons birthday... to take in for his baseball team to enjoy... blue buttercream with white wording was the only request... to add a little interest we made a baseball out of gumpaste and stitching out of royal icing and grass is buttercream. Wording is fondant.

My very first Cake, ever. I decided to be a 'cake maker' last Easter and this is one of the results, I'm still learning. I loved the grass/ hair tip, it was so fun. Still not a master cake designer, but I am loving it.

I tried to make the sides look like a grass skirt. This did not turn out exactly how I wanted. I also need to learn how to make flowers. Always learning!

This cake was done for an employee who was leaving the company -- she loves horses. It's a 12 X 18 vanilla cake, 3" high, all buttercream icing and filling. The horses and fencing are plastic toys (didn't have time or skills to make them from chocolate -- maybe next time!!)

This was an original idea. JOKE!!! lololOLOL So...credit goes to the kazillion other people who've made a version of this race track cake. Whoever dreamed it up should be quite proud! It was fun, and the four year old LOVED IT! All BC except for the asphalt track...which isn't asphalt, it's fondant. :-) Matchbox cars.

Thought I would whip this up real quick for my daughter's soccer party (The Flaming Cheetos, hence the orange)...it was more time consuming than I thought it would be and not my best game. I'm not a fan of stars, and the soccer ball was not fun!

Bottom layer Choc w/choc frosting and BC accent. Doll is Yellow cake w/BC.
I had to raise the doll and used the stacked construction because her feet were coming out the bottom of the cake board! I like the way it made he look like she was walking across the ground.
