This was my first attempt at an ICC Figure. I was happy with how it turned out and so was the little boy it was made for. He is all buttercream with an ICC interior support.

Cupcakes baked in ice cream cones and decorated in decorator's icing. Made these for my son's 8th birthday for a lunch time birthday party at his school for his class. The teacher really loved this idea instead of the traditional cake or cupcakes - far less mess!

Fast and very easy cake made from the Wilton Flower Pot pan. The idea was taken from the Wilton Yearbook 2002. I have made several of these for my daughters' school's Ice Cream Social.

Chocolate cake with Buttercream icing. Royal on the towers. Chocolate candies as borders and doors. Thought I had the towers straight, until I photographed it! Angle is everything where ice cream cones are concerned!!! It was a fun "first castle". :-)

This was created for my niece's birthday at the last minute. Had cake in freezer, had left over ganache. Scooped out 2 truffles, cut sugar cone down to size, made a fondant toppng and sprinkled with blue and purple sugars.

I filled each cones with cake batter and let it bake in the 350* oven for 30-35 mins. I use BC to make it looks like a real ice cream. My son and his classmates LOVED it!

We had a swim party for the end of the year & I needed a quick, easy dessert for the kids...plus it needed to be easily transported. Came up with the idea of the cups and the m&m's...the candy gave the cones a 'seat' and kept them from flopping around. Plus, the kids were able to munch on it, then put it back in their cup and swim or play some more...worked out great! Chocolate, vanilla & strawberry cake w/chocolate & vanilla BC. Thanks for looking!

2 layer sheet cake (bottom 3rd layer is actually the pan for extra height). Top is a 6" 2 layer round yellow cake. 1/2 choc, 1/2 yellowcake, all BC except the door which is MMF. Turrets are regular ice cream cones end to end in part of a paper towel tube covered in press n seal saran wrap then topped with sugar cones covered in MMF. I designed a special crest for him as he makes his own mead (sort of like wine but made with honey- where the word honeymoon came from!). Very fun!

This was the biggest dissapointment! My icing wouldnt firm up, the cones kept falling out... I hated to serve it - it was for my neice. I made it up to her this year with the carousel cake though! lemon cake / BC icing / orange sherbet . It did taste good :)

This is one in a set of 3 pictures from my daughter's 1st birthday party. I had only had my 1st class from Wilton where I learned the star tip...so needless to say I went bizzerk with that tip! I hate that the photo turned out a little blurrie!! :( But I think it turned out okay being that I'm a newbie to the cake decorating way of life! The theme was froggie price charming. I uploaded another picture of that cake...froggie was fondant....

Second cake for my sons' birthday party. It was orange cake, and iced in BC with the star tip. I used the party hat pan, and trimmed off the ball on top and some of the bottom to make the cone shape.
