This was my first attempt at an ICC Figure. I was happy with how it turned out and so was the little boy it was made for. He is all buttercream with an ICC interior support.

Edible image dino for my granddaughter's 3rd. She loves dinos! Buttercream icing airbrushed light brown with dark brown, black and green camoflage. The image border is covered by the vine and leaves to look like a jungle scene.

This was my monster cake on Saturday! I've never done anything this big, and I am so relieved it's over! The bride picked this design - and at first I thought it would look a little wierd, but it really grew on me. Her colors were brown and ivory. This is a view from the back

This was my mother's 43rd B-day cake. And my first one for other people. It is Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate chips. Raspberry mousse filling and chocolate buttercream frosting. The roses are also a first for me and also made out of BC.

I finally got a chance to make the royal icing Antonia74 posted and used the no fail sugar cookie recipe. I HIGHLY recommend both!! These were very time consuming but it was fun making them and they were not as hard to do as I feared. I made 3 dozen of these and took them in for my daughter's kindergarten snack time. Their color for the week is brown and the letter of course is H.

For a Chocolate/Ivory themed wedding tonight at a very Art Deco venue. Worked perfectly!

I did the scrollwork in dark brown royal icing instead of chocolate, as it is an easier medium for me to work in. Fondant was Ivory White Chocolate.

Sizes are 6", 9", 12" and 15". Spiced Carrot Cake filled with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting.

This was a last minute cake ordered for a dinner party. Wish more people got together and had nice cakes for their gatherings ;-) This was an 8" chocolate cake filled with my favorite Amaretto Espresso buttercream filling. The lid is choclate fondant as are the brown stripes and the other is plain ole' fondant.

I had so much fun making this cake after seeing the one in the gallery that jjcakes made. I had never stacked a cake before -- scary -- but thanks to all the great information on stacking in the forum section, it worked out well. Top 6" cake is french vanilla with strawberry filling, bottom 10" cake is chocolate/vanilla/chocolate with chocolate pudding filling. Made for a 50th birthday celebration.

This is my 5th attempt with fondant. My first "3-D" fondant cake. I had so much trouble making the brown fondant. First I tried making candy clay and rolling it out. Didn't work. Then I had to mix an entire jar of brown gel paste to get it to be brown. But then it was so soft it was unusable. So I added a bunch of gum-tex to it. But it was still very hard to work with. I made it for my coworker's birthday. Not too bad, as a coworker purchased the same cake from me for Thanksgiving (this week!).

This is the first time I made a bow like this. And this is the first cake I've sold! My coworker bought it for her Thanksgiving celebration. I know it isn't really "Thanksgiving-y" but this was what she requested.

I made this for a coworker for Thanksgiving, but I thought it would do well as a birthday cake, too.

This was my first effort with a bow like that. And this was the first cake I've sold!

This was for my MIL. It only needed to serve 7 people, but I wanted to do something a little fancy for her. Bottom cake is a 6", center is a 4 1/2" bundt (hole was filled w/chocolate marshmallow frosting), and top was an inverted cupcake. The whole thing took one cake mix, and had extra cupcakes to boot! I will definitely be making more of these- it was so fun!

This cake was one problem after another. Chocolate icing wouldn't smooth, fondant cracked, I couldn't get it level. It is for a good friend. I hope she likes it anyway.

Pink and brown have been the new black and white for a while now and still are. It's a personal favorite combination too, so couldn't resist...A modern twist to the conventional wedding cake. All decorations are made of fondant and blossoms are dusted with Orchid Pink Luster dust

I really love how this cake turned out! It's not super baby-ish, but that is what the customer wanted. The bottom cake design was inspired by a blue/brown baby cake posted here by boween- Thank you boween!! :)

This was inspired by the InStyle Weddings magazine cake from Summer 2004. The baker was Samantha Connell, from NY.

Dark Chocolate Fondant & White Chocolate Fondant (tinted pink). No recipes...I buy it pre-made.

My first time doing fondant ribbon roses! I'm hooked.

Tried to get a "baby blue" or even lighter, but LOL, it came out dark anyway. Top layer is chocolate with cookies and cream filling, and the bottom layer is yellow cake with coffee flavored whipped cream. I made the roses and borders out of candy clay.

No-Fail sugar cookies iced with Royal Icing for Decorated Cookies. My SIL chose the colours and I was pleased with how they turned out, hopefully she will be as well! Cookies are a lot of work but they are fun!

This is my first paid order. I obsessed way too much over it. The client only asked for chocolate with raspberry filling and the colors to be pink and brown. This is what I came up with. Devil's Food Cake with Raspberry Jam/Raspberry Cream Filling and Chocolate Buttercream Icing. The flowers are royal, butterfly color flow and plaque is fondant.

I have a party to go to tonight, so I decided to get in some cake practice....It is covered in chocolate MMF (I used Hershey's Special Dark cocoa, made it a nice brown!) Circles and stripes are fondant, borders are buttercream. It turned out kinda like I pictured it to be.....and I learned chocolate MMF is YUMMY!!!

Chocolate layer cake (from this site - YUM!), chocolate buttercream, bc piping, and mmf ribbon roses (love these flowers!). This cake was for my best friend's birthday. Had issues with it, however, I originally used chocolate syrup frosting and cookies and cream pudding filling but I had major overflow of the pudding, even tho' I did a damn with the frosting. I assume the chocolate syrup frosting is not stiff enough; I had to take the cake apart and put it back together with chocolate bc! Still learning!

This cake is a design by Cakes by Dawna, or atleast based on the one she made. It's a 4, 6 & 8" tiered cake covered in fondant, royal icing dots and bow made of fondant also.

This cake is made from stacked 8 & 6 inch carrot cakes with alternating pink and brown stripes. I actually made a mistake at the top so I decided to smooth the center circle and trim with a bead border. I have since decided I love the design of the stripes going over the edge but still allowing for a message.... (the board is pre-foiled & scalloped)
