That mask is fantastic! Did you just mould the paste over a plastic mask? Thanks.

My son's birthday cake. This BCT gave me some fits - mixing 3 shades of blue/gray to get enough contrast, but not too much.. The good news? It was the best TASTING cake I've ever made! Doctored devils food with chocolate chips, chocolate mousse filling and white chocolate frosting. Chocolate suicide!

My son wanted Gotham City for his Batman 3rd birthday party. My first attempt at color flow...good thing I stated a week in advanced for the buildings to dry. The buildings were quite labor intensive, not real straight and I had alot of crackng while they dried. It was a big hit though...the kids each took home the buildings, they had enough sugar at the party. This cake was huge, I had 1/2 left over after serving 22, and some had seconds.

My son kept asking for a Batman cake, so I thought I'd try a whimsical cake. It's a mini cake at only 6 1/2 inches tall and iced in BC. The yellow part of the Batman sign on top is MMF, as are the red smashes and the city. I used piping gel to outline all the details.

For my best friend's big boy! He loved it! I did all the bats free handed. There is one bat on each side of the cake.. the big emblem is Devils food cake with vanilla pudding filling the bottom is 10 inch square white and yellow cakes with Rasberry kahlua filling. Icing is all bc. The black is chocolate bc darkened with wilton black.

I made this cake for my son's 5th birthday. It is my 2nd cake I have done. The first one is in my photos. Buildings, signal, and word splats made with cookies and royal icing. Not real happy with how they turned out, but not willing to take the time to do it again. =) They are supported with toothpicks and extra icing. covered in buttercream. I tried to get it as smooth as possible but it wasn't working for me so I gave up.

My version of the Spiderman cake from Wilton's 2005 yearbook. I used graham crackers instead of making cookies ~ much easier.

Batman/Gotham City cake done, a lady wanted a magazine cover copied. Used the wacky cake recipe for allergic customer (no eggs, milk). Base cake is 11x15 and Batman is cut out of additional 9x13 so its raised up.

Oscar, the 5yo birthday boy is having a Super Hero party! The Flash is on the backside of the city. I got the idea from the 2005 Wilton Yearbook and have used it a few times for other themes ~ Batman and King Kong.

My first big birthday fondant cake for my nephew. He loved it. I swore I would never need the color flow tehnique from wilton II, but there would be no Gotham with out it.
