My boy's 7th birthday cake. All fondant. The towers are made out of rice krispie treats. I originally had flames coming out the dragon's mouth but they weighed his lower jaw down & I didn't want to risk it breaking off overnight so I took them out. Nothing non-edible on this except for the toothpicks holding the flags. I just hope it makes it to Chuck E Cheese's without falling apart!

I was trying to figure out height vs. support in this cake. The cake is 9 layers tall, starting at 9" bottom and 4" top. Used foam core every three layers and drove dowel down through center. Traveled perfectly with no slipping/bulging (whew!).
I was a little disappointed in the look though, had a different design in my head. I wanted it to look like shiny sequins. I guess that I didn't use the right kind of dust .... oh well!

Cake is 4 layer white with lemon filling, cupcakes are white w/ lemon and chocolate w/ strawberry vanilla. fondant and RI decorations. I made a cake and cupcake tower for a non-profit organization, NeuroKids.org.
Keep in mind not all the cupcakes are on the tower in the pic, it was just a quickie set up so I could get a picture before I delivered it. The topper is part of thier logo, the NK on the cupcakes are thier initials and the orange cupcakes are supposed to look like brain

6"/10" rounds covered in marshmallow fondant - I found the MMF to be really hard to work with; it seemed to stiffen up too quick to make a smooth cover for the cakes and I found it didn't stick to the bc on the cakes that well. Otherwise, the cake was a HUGE success. For a little girl's fifth birthday.

This was a cake that I did for a bridal show. This one went a little backwards than normal....I saw the topper first, then designed the cake around it. The middle tier was copied off of something I saw done in a European cake magazine. There are four phrases in different languages on the cake...... Love, Amour, Amore, & Je taime. And then of course the X's & O's for hugs & kisses!

Cake and cupcake tower done for a family member having twins. The baby shower got cancelled because she went to the hospital for some pain and they kept her. Anyhoo, cake covered in BC dream and fondant, then airbrushed. Real ribbon on cake because I was too friggin sleepy to do a fondant bow!! All accents (except bow) are fondant, including the babies!! I am a critique group member; so I welcome all critiques.

I made this for my dear friend Keisha for her birthday. The party was themed "Queen of Hearts" and painting the roses red. The figures were made in gumpaste and I made the queen in her likeness (note the beautiful bronze skin!) . The cupcakes were decorated to look like roses. I'll post close ups of each of the figures. They were TREMENDOUSLY inspired by Jelena and her awesome A.I.W. cake. Thanks for looking!

My DH's friend wanted a birthday cake for his wife who is a French
teacher. So my DH and I adorned the cake with fleur de lis, a Christian
Louboutin shoe, a Louis Vuitton purse and a small Eiffel tower.
The main cake is covered in buttercream, the shoe and Eiffel
tower are gumpaste and the purse is an angel food pound cake
 covered in fondant and gumpaste.

My brief was to make a simple cake for a French language class. It's a madeira cake covered with MMF & sugarpaste accents. The writing & Eiffel Tower picture are printed with edible inks onto an icing sheet.

150 cupcakes for a sweet 16. Plus a 6" on top. #16 on top is GP with luster dust. CCs have small fondant accents (butterflies, flowers, tiaras). Wilton's stand (easier than me making a stand!). Baked CCs were placed in Wilton's fruit & nuts cups, which had a pink ribbon glued around the outer edge.

I made over 200 cupcakes for the moms in our church for Mother's Day. The cake was white and chocolate with vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry buttercreams. The cupcakes were topped with a gumpaste hydrangea flower and a few cupcakes had a gumpaste butterfly on them.

My very best friend is in Utah for a couple of weeks. She called on Thursday and asked if I could make her an eiffel tower cake for today. I really didn't have time but I couldn't tell her no. My very first cake 10 years ago was her birthday cake so it is fun to see how far I have come. The cake is decorated with fondant. The flowers are gumpaste and the eiffel tower is made out of chocolate. I don't like my tower. Thanks for all the help on it though!
