Strawberry Wedding Cake
Bride's white cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberry filling, iced in BC and decorated with strawberry blossoms piped in royal. I was worried about this cake because the bride decided at the last minute to have the cake set up outside, which I didn't find out about until I was on-site. But everything worked out!
Lovely!!
This cake is so pretty and looks fairly easy to make was it hard to do how long did it take you to do.
It was fairly easy, and not very time-consuming. The royal blossoms took me about an hour (and I had some left over), the cakes themselves took about 30 minutes each to ice and dowel, and the freehand vines were probably about an hour total. The cake was stacked on-site and the strawberries took about 45 minutes to lay out. I really prefer the more simple cakes, those tend to have the greatest visual impact for me.
love the ckae. ABsolutely adorable.
Very pretty. You did a teriffic job and it looks delicious!
This looks so good. It's beautiful too......did you spend a long time picking out the strawberries?.....because they look perfectly ripe.
actually my caterer friend ordered them from the wholesaler. I had an entire flat to choose from - but being we're on the east coast and it's September, it was hard to find really good ones. What you're not seeing is that on a lot of these berries, the unripe side is against the cake!
Looks absolutely yummmmmmy!
looks wonderful this is going into my favorites!
Nicely done. Which icing recipe did you use?
love the cake--surprised i haven't seen it yet :D
Agent-the icing I used was the half butter/half crisco recipe I typically use. Not really outdoor-in-the-summertime friendly. But it was fine in the end!
I love this cake! I totally want to eat the whole thing :P
I'm a lover of strawberries & this one is absolutely Great!!! Love it!!!
