5 Tier Black And White Circle Graphics Wedding Cake

5 Tier Black And White Circle Graphics Wedding Cake on Cake Central

What a funky wedding! Everything was in black and white with circles...the menus, the vases, tables & linens. I do LOVE a theme!

I was so excited when the bride asked for this cake. Apparently it was Ashton & Demi's wedding cake design last year. It is a design from a Chicago company called "Take the Cake", but I can't seem to locate their website to confirm that?

The tiers are each 6.5" tall. It took 2 of us to fondant and smooth the 5 tiers of 4",6",8",10" and 12". 4 hours to decorate with circles!

This cake is beautiful. First thing I thought of when I saw it was Ashton and Demi. A&D's had a blue background, didn't it? I love this cake. You did it up proud.

what a wonderful cake, such a simple design, yet so effective. Sounds like a lot of work, but it looks awesome. Well done Helen.

Thanks everyone for letting me know about the original! Where the heck is the "Take The Cake" Chicago website?? Maybe I will just contact the Grace Ormond magazine directly...thanks Heavenlycakes for that lead! The circles are made using dark dark chocolate fondant and about 6 sizes of round cookie cutters. Each cake had 4 thick layers of cake and 3 layers of filling. The kitchen staff must have been cursing me when they were plating this beast! hahaha...what do I care? I was in bed by then for sure!

I saw this cake on InStyle's wedding special. It was Demi's cake but it was made by two ladies in LA, not chicago. Try InStyle magazine! Otherwise....WOW!!!! only you Antonia could pull it off!!! My hats of to you!

This is stunning! You finally got to make the cake after all! How painful...4 hours on details alone...That's why we have to charge a good commission for our cakes! LOVE IT!
