These cakes (the desert island and the abandoned pirate ship) were made for a wonderful charity organization called Icing Smiles. The recipient of the cake was a little boy who is very ill. The cakes were made in celebration of his receiving a new playroom from the Make a Wish Foundation. His playroom was decorated with a pirate theme, and it was requested that his celebration cakes echo the theme. So here is what I came up with! Sand dollars, seashells, a mermaid tail, a treasure map, an abandoned pirate ship, a desert island, a vast expanse of ocean and a little pirate's treasure.
