I made this cake for my husband's going away party. He recently accepted a position with the fire department which we grew up admiring. The cake depicts the various points in his life long pursuit to work for the same department as his father. The pictures are all from the different departments and positions he held. My favorite picture is the one where he is a little boy, wearing his dad's turnouts. After 10 years away from home, he gets to return home and put on those very turnouts again. Talk about full circle!!!
