This was done with a metal dowel, it has rock candy wrapped around it. We bent it at the top and hot glued it in the open part of the can. My DH made the board for me. He placed a hole in the center and we placed the dowel in the hole so it would stay up straight. I had to cut a slit in the boards and cake to slide onto the dowel. Then just iced and prayed it stayed together. LOL Also, 2 6 inch cakes and 2 8 inch cakes carved.

WOW! What is on top of the "ice" to make it look like cola? Did you make your own rock candy, if so how? This totally calls for a tutorial!!!!!!

this is one of the coolest cakes ever!!! please put a step by step on here !!! i know so many kids that would go crazy for this cake!!!!!! would love to do this one for the kids at my church. 8O 8O

The ice is also rock candy, the soda pouring out of the can is also rock candy, once it gets to a certain temp you can touch and mold it but you still need to be careful not to get burned.
