Magazine Cover Design on Cake Central

The is a copy of a cake originally designed by Dream Cake Designs in Australia and featured on the cover of Modern Wedding Cakes and Chocolates. I used 6, 9, 12 and 15" rounds. Not at all hard, and lots of fun to do.

Thanks everyone! The flowers are made of fondant/gumpaste with a five petal blossom cutter. The fondant is actually chocolate but shows up black in my pic. Sorry, took this with a little digital camera.

Did you use dummy cakes or real ones? If it's real one how do you make them so straight and beautiful like that?It's just stunning.

That is AMAZING!!! One of the hardest things has to be getting everything so uniform and so proportionally placed. You are VERY talented!

This is absolutely beautiful! This is my favorite cake out of all the cakes I have seen on CC. What did you use to get everything spaced out so perfectly and evenly. Did you just eyeball it? I would love to try to make this one day.

I've got this mag too and i could swear it's just as perfect, what a great job. Can I just as how did you get the fondant so dark? I can never seem to get the dark colours right. Fantastic job - :D :D :D
