Deer Hunting
17" sheet cake covered in chocolate syrup frosting and then decorated with buttercream. The trees and animals are from a kit. I really dislike using plastic pieces on a cake, but this one really kind of called for it. The water is blue and green buttercream and the rocks are edible.
What color of green did you use for the grass? I have a hunting cake this weekend and your cake is just adorable. I may use your idea.
Thanks! Punkiin, I just used Americolor Forest Green. I was going to mix it with something else, but I liked it just the way it was. This cake was so incredibly easy and quick to do. Good luck on yours! Can't wait to see the pics!
This is wonderful! It is so realistic. I think the plastic figures are very appropriate in this insance and really help bring this wonderful out door scene you've created together. Very nice job
You did good on this, Kerri!! I wish I would have had my mind on what I was doing on mine because I wanted my river to go over the sides too! :(
