Cheeseburger Cupcakes on Cake Central

These were such a hit at the Labor Day picnic. Just my luck I had in my freezer just enough green, yellow/orange, and red icing, so I didn't need to make any! These are so easy to make and so much fun. We especially liked them, because you can ice just around the edges of the "burger" so that you don't have frosting overload.

I have NO idea whose idea this was, but it's great and I thank you. Also, I don't know who mentioned the muffin top pan, but I LOVE them and they work great for this with no waste.

There is a pan that is called a muffin top pan. It's a shallow 2.5 inch wide cup... like a 1/4 inch deep. We love it because they make muffins the shape of cookies which is easier for a toddler to eat and no need for papers. Plus, they are perfect for these because you don't need to cut off half the cupcake to make the burgers.
