Awesome cake! The Disney Princess theme is what I'm doing for my twins 2nd Bday Party! Can I ask, Where did you get your Disney Princess Cake Toppers?
crouton800 8/28/05 at 11:44pm
Thanks for the compliments! mvucic, the 6 princesses are actually toy figurines bought by the mommy from a dept store and are not cake toppers.

Please tell me how you made towers under the sugar cones. This is amazing!

Oh, that's so cute. I want one for MY birthday! I'm 33

alf5854, the towers were extra cake in which i "cut out" using plain cutters ( or scone cutters) and stacked how ever many i needed to get the required height. I "glued" the little stacked cakes with buttercream then i skewered the whole tower with a wooden skewer/satay stick/kebab stick and pushed it through the cake. i also placed another stick, sticking out of the tower so that the sugar cones can rest on the stick ( inside) so the cones would have some support should it be knocked. thanks.

Love this beautiful cake!! what size cake pans did you use?
crouton800 2/7/06 at 2:26pm
Thank you. bottom cake is 10" and the middle tier is 6" cake. top tier is half a 6" becoz i had to make room for the two figurines. this gave quite a 3D effect, but personally I wouldn't use the 3 towers on a half 6" cake again coz transporting such a tall cake (with the towers made of cake) was not stable.
