You did a really great job on this. I love the that you put the carriage on it. Where did you find the carriage? Also is that wilton chocolate disk around the pillars? Are the pillars cake? Sorry for all the questions. I want to do something like this for my daughter's birthday in July.
Thank you both, the base cake is buttercream, the castle is fondant. carriage is from wilton. I actually found a version of this in a book called 2 hour cakes. They did just the castle. My niece does not like fonant icing, so I made the base cake with buttercream, because that is what she likes. I can email you the directions for the castle if you would like to send me your email address. It is really a nice book, I have forgotten who the author is but can look tonight when I get home. Yes to candy disks.

Wow! It's beautiful. Is it all buttercream? How did you attach the turets (sp?) I'm attempting one this week.

What a cute cake! Love the castle on top of a sheet cake! The carriage is a very nice touch! Not like a princess can call a cab! ;) Very nicely done!
