This was actually for the rehearsal dinner. They are oval tiers. The buttercream is actually colored by warmed kahual that had instant espresso dissolved in it. Those are chocolate covered espresso beans as well. I had a hard time keeping the color uniform (I guess coffe isnt a stable coloring agent) so next time I am going to add some ivory color to it to hopefully level it. The cake is a mocha chocolate chip and this was my first cake where I had to flood the ganache.
