My son loves Curious George. I ran out of time to get a topper and I have no sculpting skills, so I improvised. I made all the flowers/leaves and balloons the night before (and boy were the balloons a challenge with royal icing, and trying to get the right colors). I filled the layers with french buttercream and outlined the cake with it, as well as filled the cupcakes with it. I'm very new to doing cakes, and was under a tight deadline. .but I thought it turned out cute.
