My daughter wanted a pirate party. It's very hard to find pirate cake ideas in stores. I finally came up with this. I am very much a beginner, but it didn't turn out too bad.

I made the sand with brown sugar. and the ocean is just piping gel w/blue food coloring added.Thanks for the positive feedback.
