Flock Of Butterflies
This is about half of the 3D butterfly cookies I made as favors for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party this weekend. The are the same shape and wing pattern as the butterflies on the quilt we will be making at the party. Thank you to Bobwonderbuns (and others) for the suggestions for how to do this. I used NFSC dough and Antonia 74's icing.
Mazel Tov to your daughter, and your family! The butterflies turned out great. -- Theresa
I was following the progress of these little flutter-byes - they turned out beautifully. Best wishes to your daughter and your family.
They turned out great! You should be proud!
Thank you. Just a note for those who were interested in putting these in the little take out boxes (like I planned to do), buy a box first. I went to buy boxes today and thankfully I brought a cookie with me, because they were too big! I thought I was so smart. Originally I made a paper model, using a straw as the body and it fit in the box with room to spare. But, apparently I didn't compensate for how much thicker the cookie would be and how much bigger a piped body would be.
you did an awesome job! congrats to your daughter & your family :princess:
and they stand up too, sooo cute!!
They are so cute! I would love to know how you did them, if you don't mind sending me a pm.
Thank you. I have photos and step by step instructions on the cookie board under the title "Completed 3d Butterfly Cookies"I hope this helps. I tried to post a link but it won't let me.
This is a very different way of making cookies! Very original.
oooh i like that! very creative
