Cake A Roni

Cake A Roni on Cake Central

This was for an Italian themed b-day party. I couldn't get the modeling chocolate to work for me plus I don't have a clay gun, so I just went with the basketweave. A very loose interpertation from Collette Peter's book. The subtitle "A master course in decortaing" should have been a clue to a novice like myself, but I gave it my best shot. Thanks for looking.

I don't know what the cake in the book looks like but your cake is quite cute, I like the pasta in pattern.

My DH tries to stay away from cake but cannot resist PASTA.....He would love this one. Good job. So what's inside?

it is cake balls inside which made the bottom of the fondant "pasta" wet, but I covered the holes on the back with royal icing and just stck them to the cake. Thanks for all the kind words!
