Joseph Lambeth is the grandfather of cake decorating using a unique style of "over piping" and stringwork. What you have done on your bottom border is a perfect example of a basic over piped bottom border! This is a style that is rarely practiced anymore!!!!
I really love your cakes! Your colors are so gorgeous. They compliment each other very well and that is some serious paper towel impression. I have never had mine show up with that much texture. I haven't done a papertowel design in years. Maybe I should give it a whirl. BTW, you've got a little bit of a Lambeth border going on on the bottom.
