Present Wedding Cake
This was my second wedding cake I've done. It is iced in red buttercream with white fondant ribbons to resemble a present. It was very hard to place on cake because of so much RED! Bottom tier is fake. Top bow of cake is purchased.
Beautiful! How did you get the red color? How did you get the loops on the edges of some of the fondant ribbons?
For the red color I used Americolor Super Red. I usually use Wilton but decided to try Americolor. I was pleased with the results and really didn't have to use much. For the detail on the fondant and loops I used royal icing.
