Just cut out gumpaste in a rectangle, then pinched in the center as you would the real thing, and used cotton balls for support to keep the shape until it dried. I went shaping and placing them with the lid on to get a perfect fit.

Beautiful as usual! How did you do the tissue paper? I did one like that yesterday, but the tissue paper didn't turn out as well as yours.

Thanks! I did mine with fondant, I can see how the gumpaste wouls stand up better. I'll try it that way next time.

I insert a dowel about 1 1/2" higher than the cake itself and lean the lid on it. No website just yet...In progress
