In album: gumpaste-flower
This was my first wedding cake. As the groom was very active in the local Camillia Society, I had planned on using fresh camillias. But they would not be available for an Oct. date, so I created them from gumpaste as close to the coloring and size as I could. There are 25 varieties represented. Real branches were used to lend an authentic look to the flowers. The cake was covered in rolled fondant.

What an undertaking for your first!! Your cake sure doesn't show any signs of being done by a novice. Awesome work!
