Cheese Dip Igloo With Olive Penguins

Cheese Dip Igloo With Olive Penguins on Cake Central

I saw this on the Wilton site and thought it'd be fun to do for my two family get togethers this year. I used the softball pan to make it a more reasonable size (didn't need 80 servings). the pesto leaks though, so I put matzarella cheese on the plate to hide the leak and cover the design on the plate. The Olive Penguins were really easy to make. And everyone just loved the presentation.

Thanks. The penquins actually took a lot more time than the two igloo's did. I'll definitely be using this design/recipe again in the future.

Okay, I have to know... how did you make the penguins??? They are fantastic! Are there directions on the Wilton site or something?

on

Yes. The directions are on the Wilton site. The penguins are basically a collasal sized olive for the body, large olive for the head. One large olive quartered to make the wings and cream cheese on the body. Sliver of olive for the eyes and carrot pcs for the beak and feet.

It turned out great!! I also made a version of this for Christmas Eve. Instead of using the pesto I mixed the cheese inside with garlic dill dip mix and it tasted great. I like the cheese"snow"
