Pink & Purple Whimsey
2 tier stacked cake, 4" and 6", both 4" tall. Covered in Satin Ice fondant, gumpaste daisies dry dusted in smokey amethyst luster dust. I am not a fan of pink or purple so I am not thrilled with the overall outcome of this, but they were the girls favorite colors (pink, purple and black). fondant pearls painted in super pearl. The top cake has a fondant overlay which i curled up with a dowel, then piped on a bead border with royal icing and painted it with super pearl dust.
I love this design! I like the asymetrical stripes and the overlay.
thank you, i think its the red that throws it off...it was pink color that i was using, and i was just trying to get a dark bright pink, but this is what it came out as. Now that I think of it, i should have pulled it off and used white or a very light pink instead. oh well. the flowers and pearls are fun
