Did you make the carnations on the nail or directly on the cake? Just curious I haven't tried with buttercream yet I thought they might mush when I pulled it off the nail?

Lovely cake! I love the texture on the sides.

I did them on the nail and then froze them. Once they were all done and frozen, I handled them.
