I made this cake for my mom's 50th birthday. She is a cowgirl and we have lived on a ranch our whole lives so I wanted to make something that would reflect that. I think this is one of my most favorite cakes yet. The hat is miniature and made of a 4" cake and fondant, then dusted with coacoa powder to give it the really old and rugged look. I made a mold for the conchos and they are all fondant too. The wildrag is fondant with a edible image glued on. Hope you enjoy.
