Gift Cake For My Dad
My Parents just moved back to California in May (we live in MD) and my Dad is here on a business trip. We will see him tomorrow night so I made this cake for him. He'll be very happy since he hasn't had one of my cakes for 3 months (he's my biggest fan :) ). This is my 1st bow-needs ALOT of work-practice makes perfect right? :) Thanks for looking! Comments are always welcome (as are tips, advice, etc.). Chocolate cake with srawberry filling, SatinIce Ivory Fondant and SatinIce Chocolate Fondant for the bow.
I am glad to report that my Dad LOVED it!!! :) He was very happy to see a cake (made by his Favorite daughter-Shhh...don't tell my sister) :) He ate a Big 'ol piece :D I miss my parents ;( :lol:

I like the bow and the combo black and white...always looks nice
I think not only the bow is beautiful....but the thoughtfulness of making your Dad a special cake is beautiful. My first bow gave me some grief. But yours looks really great. Let us know how your Dad smiled when he tasted that yummy cake.
