This is the cake that I made for my DH's birthday. It's pistachio cake with vanilla buttercream and MMF. I had troubles smoothing out the MMF at the bottom of the ball, but hopefully the painting covered that up!
I had to check out your death star for future cake ideas. Excellent job, you did a great job making the squares so straight. I'm sure your husband loved it, I know mine would.
