This is my first cherry tree cake based on a picture the bride gave me. Sorry I can't give credit to the original cake designer because I don't know where she got the picture. For the tree, I used chocolate fondant and the blossoms are sugarpaste.
CarolAnn, I used the cutter that came with my Wilton class kit - the plastic one. I made a cut with a knife to separate the petals and then I rolled it out with the ball attachment. I just started my home-based cake business last year and I don't have many flower cutters yet. I'm planning on buying some "good" ones in the coming year. Oh well, all in good time!!!
