First Fbct - Not Happy Wiht It!

This is a birthday cake for the granddaughter of a lady I work with. It is the first time I tried the FBCT method. I don't know what I did wrong! I used the icing recommended, but it looks very sloppy to me. Suggestions?

Thanks nelja5. It didn't turn out as smooth as I thought it would. Someone mentioned a problem using Crisco, which I did. It seemed to leave pock marks and I had to go over it once on the cake.
