Chanel Purse Cake
This is my first attempt at a purse cake. It was commissioned by a lady I work with. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out but I've learned some things for next time.

Great job! Did you start off with a square cake and carve it ? Also did you use a special toll to get that diamond pattern ? It looks so real.
Actually I used a large loaf pan cake upside down and then two small stacked on top of that. I carved them to make them even but there wasn't too much cutting required. I used a diamond press for the impression and then went over the lines with a pizza wheel. I dusted the whole thing with pearl dust to make it shimmer. The grommets were painted with silver lustre dust. I braided the handle with black fondant strips. Thanks for all the nice comments!
