Strawberry Shortcake
This BC three tiered cake with Fondant accents was made for a very special girl who is successfully battling Leukemia. It is yellow cake with strawberry filling. Boy did I test my icing recipe in the Florida heat !! I traveled from North Carolina to Florida for this very special birthday party. I took the cake layers, frozen, but undecorated to Florida and iced once I got there.! This is the larges cake I have made to date - and I thought it turned out pretty good. Thanks to all for the ideas !!

I LOVE this cake i'm sure she must have loved it, could you tell me where you bought the cookie cutters for the letters, i am trying to get a set like that. :D

The letters are made out fondant. I used cookie cutters. Let them dry, then attached to lollipop sticks with fondant and royal icing, then brushed with pearl dust.. It was so hot that day, by the end of the party, the letters were melting !! :D
