Candle Cake
This is a practice cake. I wanted to try the royal icing on fondant to see how it looked, taste, and how it would cut. I got the indea from a cake decorating book. The cake is yellow with cherry buttercream filling.

Good job. I like that. I was at Michael's the other day and seen battery operated tea lights. had to get one just to try it on something. thanks for sharing your idea!

so, royal on top and fondant underneath? How did you get the fondant to look so rough?
That so looks like melted candle wax. Great job
countrycakesIA : I used royal icing on the sides of the fondant. Then I took a moist sponge (almost dry) and dabble the sponge on the sides. The melted look is color flow. Hope this helps.
