Mom's Birthday Cake

I made this for my mom's bday. Chocolate cake with cherry filling and chocolate fondant. This was my first fondant rose and I had no idea what I was doing. I think I need a class! lol The reason the fondant isn't totally smooth on top is at first I made a fondant loopy bow and I had the loops on toothpicks sticking into the middle and it didn't turn out so I took it out. That's what caused the creases on top. Thanks for looking!

I think your rose looks great for the first time and no instruction. Mine look terrible and I took classes. Love the cake!

I think the rose looks beautiful, as do the scrolls! I love the contrasting light pink with dark chocolate. Very nice!
