This is my first cake of any kind besides the basic box mix with canned frosting. For my daughter-in-law's baby shower. I used coconut pound cake, with buttercream frosting and fondant. The top is a nightmare, but it was late and I was so-o-o tired so this was a quicky solution. I had to transport it 165 miles and some of the pearls dislodged and there was no time to reassemble. I learned a lot and will look forward to doing better next time.
