Hydrangea Cake

I made this today for my mom for her birthday ~ she loves hydrangeas. Not completely happy with it but happy enough as it was my first try at it! Its a 6" cake ~ all buttercream except stem and leaves are chocolate. Got the idea from the video/instructions at Whimsical Bakehouse site. The cake is more periwinkle (purple tint) in person. Couldn't pick that up with the camera...
