This fondant baby was filled with cake scraps using the basic steps for the cake balls. It was for my nieces baby shower. The bottom later was white cake, vanilla chocolate buttercream.
Great idea for the baby. Overall composition is quite nice. I would have used a bigger cake board. Been told 2 - 3 inches bigger. Your roses are really nice! But you lavendar flowers could have used the middle.
beautiful flowers! not sure if it is the lighting in the picture, but there appears to be too many lavender colors. One being the cake board, the bottom piping another, the top piping another, the flowers another, and the baby sleeper yet another. But again, may just be the lighting in the pic. Bottom piping nicely done, evenly shaped shells and evenly spaced!
I am having a hard time seeing any features on the baby's face....probably just the picture. If I look VERY closely, I can see some inconsistencies in the border. Overall, very nice.
Very nice setup but I think the baby is too big and that takes away from the 'cuteness' of the cake. Your flowers are lovely (did you make the butterflies? If so, WOW!). Thank you for sharing the technique on how you molded the baby - main reason I like looking at the photos as I figure its one of the best ways to learn!
I love the pattern on the jammies and the color is very sweet. Great borders!

Very pretty, ditto on the flowers and butterflies. Your colours look good with a splash of Pink for highlights. Beautiful cake

I'd add some more detail to the face but overall it's a beautiful cake! I love the roses and butterfly touch!
