Black White Weddl on Cake Central

this was a 3 tier square done in bc with black fondant bow and fondant ribbon around each tier. White design on each ribbon was done with RI to match a pattern on her dress.

how did you get your cake edges to be so clean? do you have tips on covering the corners of square cakes. Approx how thick to you have your fondant - a read a lot reccomend 1/4"

babycakes99, this cake is covered in buttercream, but if I was covering a cake in fondant, I cover it about 1/4, sometimes a bit thicker than that.

wow, thank you so much, briannastreats, I think it took almost 2 hrs. to do the scrollwork, so it wasn't too terrible for me. One hour would have been better:)

Thanks for the comments; to smooth I use the Wilton icing recipe. Then I use a viva paper towel and fondant smoother to smooth the sides. I finish with a piece of computer paper and a fond. smoother.
