Another individually wrapped cookie I did for the sale...loved how this turned out, but not sure why the icing around the bottom started getting translucent looking...any ideas?
I have been trying to figure out that same problem. I had my snowman sugar cookie do the same thing. I also had one of my turkey cookies do that at Thanksgiving. Someone suggested it was the "oil" in the cookie rising. I have been putting my sugar or butter cookies on paper towels after they have cooled. Not sure if that fixed it....but it doesn't happen with my gingerbread cookies. Maybe we will figure it out.
I think my icing was too thin consistency wise, and then spread on too thin...because since I haven't had any problem....thicken both up, and have been good to go since.
