SPOT the Surprise! - Present Cake

This my first full fondant bow, which thank God turn out just right. This cake was inspired by the pink & white ribbon that I used to put around the cake board. Vanilla sponge cake, filled with vanilla buttercream & strawberry jam. Covered with sugarpaste Cake was accented with luster dust. Customer was very happy with it.

i think you cake is very beautiful. I have one question, how do you make the dots hold in place on the cake. I am new to this and I always wanted to do cake decorating.

Carolinagemini: Spots are held in place with edible glue. You can also use egg white which acts as a glue as well if you can't get access to edible glue. I am still quite new to cake decorating as well....but I have been reading cake books for breakfast, lunch & dinner to pick up on different tips & technique. Happy decorating! I will keep a look out for your work.
