A good friend wanted a simple shower cake to feed 100. It was a Honey Do shower so I included the tools to give it a manly touch.

what size cake pan did you use? was it box cake mix if so how many to fill pan?
12" square with a 8" round. I follow the suggested batter amounts given in the Wilton Yearbooks. I believe Wilton recommends 10 cups for the 12" square (single layer) and 4 cups for the round (single layer). I always use DH cake mix which makes 5 cups of batter per box. I used 6 boxes total on this cake since each cake is two layers.
