Mini Tuxedo Cakes

Mini Tuxedo Cakes on Cake Central

For a pickup today, my Mom ( business partner) took these on by herself...all 28...ok ok, not too many but enough to make me feel guilty not driving up to help! Mixture of frosting and fondant.

I agree . . . the detail is great and I love how the tux jacket is three dimensional rather than laying flat. The rosebuds are great, too!

the lapels and ties are made a day ahead of time out of fondant, including the small rose. left to dry so they would stand up a bit on top..the sides I used a large basket weave tip to make a cuff look and added a button...didn't quite cover the whole side of the cake, so added a black strip of the fondant to create a sleeve look. Hope this helps
