Wilton Course 3 Final Exam Cake

Wilton Course 3 Final Exam Cake on Cake Central

This was the cake I made for the final exam in Course Three. The guys at my husbands office let it sit for about 4 hours before they finially decided to cut into it. They apparently didn't want to deface it. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think I'll ever do string work on a cake again. Between the breakage with moving it and the pain on my carpo-tunnel, it's just not in me to do that kind of design. It did turn out really nicely though.

Very lovely and you did a great job on the stringwork! I missed my last Course 3 class so I didn't get to do a wedding cake until my son got married this past April.

Thank you. Considering the lack of strenght in my wrist, it KILLED to make those, but it was part of the exam, so it had to be done.

Thanks. I doubt I'll ever do string work again. That task is REALLY hard on the carpal tunnel here, but it sure was fun to see I can do it if I really want to :)
