Hi sugar friends! This is one of my son's grad cakes..... I was beaming with pride the way they turned out! I had 9 hrs. into the shoes along.... I'll post the varsity jacket next. Jennifer Dontz - traveling teacher

8O :o :D I'm thrown. This is too good. Your 9 hrs of work really paid off. You did a great job. Looks just like a real pair of shoes. I'm sure your son loved them. :wink:

Merissa LOL! Hopefully they smelled like sugar! Want to know the funny part - I STILL HAVE THEM! We never cut them. They have settled a bit, but still look pretty darn good! Party was 6/24 Jen :-)

These are AWESOME!! I love the detail and how real they look. Great job. As for the edible image on the fondant for the lettering... (still learning) is it the frosting sheets or ?? thx

These look more realistic than the pair of Skechers I just got....You obviously possess formidable talent.

JaneK - I STILL HAVE THEM! lol!!!! We never cut them, I had plain sheets for cutting. We did cut the jacket I posted but it was at the end of the party. Jen :-)

I really don't have directions on these. I just started with a 9x13 cut lenghtwise and stacked for each shoe. I had the real shoe in the backgroud while carving and kept measuring height of the certain parts of the shoe. Wanted them to be as close to real as I could get them. Jen :-)

Jennifer there isn't much I can say that everyone here already has said.. but.. I absolutely LOVE all of your cakes... and this one is outragious.. they look SOOO real.. I can almost smell them LOL :) Awesome job as USUAL :)
