This was a novelty cake I was asked to do for a friend. I tried to experiment by putting a backdrop of New York skyline and also a sign post. The picture quality is really bad - sorry.
Thanks for your comments. When doing the backdrop I was about to give up! To do it I used a thin cake board (secured with screws to the base). I covered this with 3 layers of rolled icing cut into the shape of the skyline - this gave the illusion of depth. After securing each layer with sugar glue I used my airgun with food colouring which made it easier to do the clouds etc.

Incredible! The backdrop and signpost add a lot but the taxi is amazing! 8O
