Welcome Home, Nephew!
I made this cake back in 1990 (boy, how time flies!). It was for my nephew's (at the time my boyfriend's sister's son) homecoming from the hospital after his birth. It's one of my favorite recipes and the 2nd time I had made this three layer chocolate cake with whipped cream filling and a chocolate frosting. I believe it was my first or second attempt at roses.

My hubby used to say that I did that on purpose to show people that I really knew how to bake (that was before we were married and about 16 years ago)! :roll:
