Snowflakes With (Gasp!) Fondant!?

Snowflakes With (Gasp!) Fondant!? on Cake Central

Yes, my time was becoming very limited last week with 11 orders of cookies due....about 850!! I did the fondant basecoat and used my royal and sanding sugar on top.

I have to say though, it didn't save me a ton of time on these 250 snowflake cookies...and I was really worried that the royal icing was so much easier to chip off than on a basecoat of royal icing. Fast? Well, a bit. Easier? Not in my opinion.

It's a coarser-grained sugar that is mostly used for detailing/decoration because it doesn't break down during baking if you apply it beforehand and it sparkles a lot more than just regular granulated sugar that you get at the grocery store.
